LOCATION: There is 44.8 KM distance in between this spot and Thiruvananthapuram city.  It is 2 km from the Meenmutti falls.

HOW TO GET THERE:You can get KSRTC buses from Trivandrum to Kallar. From Nedumangad town, you can also take cabs or auto to reach there.

Kombaikani Waterfalls is located near Kallarand also near Meenmutti. This waterfall is in way of Agastyakoodam. There is a forest rest house near the falls.The upper slopes of the Neyyar reservoir house two very beautiful waterfalls; which are Kombaikani and Meenumutti waterfalls. These waterfalls can be reached by trekking a distance of 2 kilometres through the thick forests around the reservoir.This location is a trekkers’ paradise with lot of possibilities for adventure tourism. They are part of a trekking route connecting Kallar and Agasthyakoodam.You can visit the falls with the permission of Forest Department. A guide should be sent along with you to the falls.

            While trekking through the path, one would come across a large number of bird species and butterflies. The forest cover in this area is tropical in nature. Trekkers usually come across leeches during the rainy seasons. Hence, they should come completely prepared to ward off any issues relating to leech bite during that time of the year.

TIPS AND GUIDANCE:The preferable time to visit this place is November to February. Take necessary food and water with you. And take precautions f or leech attacks.
